The Stable Development
Originally purchased to develop a new QSR for a private owner, the property at West Washington and Wolfe Nursery Road in Stephenville Texas grew from 2 acres to 19 acres. Once acquired, the design team would deal with several challenges, storm drainage being the major obstacle. Much of the property was in the FEMA flood plane. With thoughtful design and engineering, a concept emerged that would meet both City and TxDot requirements, allowing for development to progress.
The development incorporates the continuation of Wolfe Nursery Road, providing up to seven lots for development. The storm water challenge was met with an earthen channel along the west perimeter. New traffic poles, signal lights and cross walks were also required. The primary target for the development are QSR;s, restaurants, and western themed retail providing a unique destination for residents and visitors alike. The development name plays tribute to the City’s known rodeo culture and sport.
